#GETReal" is the culmination of a dynamic collaboration involving Prestij, a health and wellness gym committed to mental health, Brightminds, ASEAN Youth Advocates Network and an impassioned YSEALI alumnus working inharmony with Global Shapers. Led by Fiqah Rahman, our united mission is to champion mental and spiritual well-being for individual's growth through a transformative series of workshops.
This initiative commences with a launch event that establishes the groundwork for a rewarding two-week program hosted at Prestij gym.
Our workshops are made accessible to all through thegenerous support of local vendors who help cover the costs. We are deeply committed to ensuring mental health support is within everyone's reach. These sessions are meticulously structured into two distinct phases, each custom-tailored to offer comprehensive assistance.
"We live in an era filled with demands, deadlines, frustrations, hassles, and constant and instant notifications on our gadgets. For many of us, stress is part of our daily lives. Stress is not always a bad thing as it can help us perform and it can motivate us to meet deadlines or perform better. However, if we are constantly living in urgency and in emergency mode, it will take a toll on our minds, bodies and our health as a whole – what we refer to as being “under stress” or “stressed out".
In the initial week, we embark on a journey through the theoretical underpinnings, shedding light on the intricate factors contributing to mental health challenges, including conditions such as depression and anxiety. Guided by seasoned professionals in the field, each session revolves around distinct themes influencing mental health. Participants actively engage in expert-led discussions and immersive sessions, fostering a profound comprehension of these complex issues.
During the second week, our focus shifts to the physical dimension of mental and spiritual well-being. Through invigorating yoga sessions and fitness activities, participants fortify their mental clarity, equilibrium, and resilience. This all-encompassing approach empowers individuals to nurture their mental health while embracing an active and vibrant lifestyle, under the guidance ofexperienced fitness instructors.
